How Kaelion works in your home.
A small unit next to your devices. It measures the home, plans ahead, controls only what you allow — and then measures what actually happened.
- Runs locally in your home
- Control does not need a constant cloud connection
- Control is off until you switch it on
Design concept — not final hardware
One system
Your home’s energy, in one picture.
Kaelion sits in the middle. Around it: what it reads, and the one device it controls today.
Online. Prices and forecasts arrive over the internet; everything else stays in the home. Offline. Measuring and control stay in the home. Without fresh prices or forecasts Kaelion does not guess: it falls back to safe behaviour until they return.
Stays in your home
- The Kaelion unit, and every plan and decision it makes
- Measurements from your devices
- The limits you set, and the record of what was done
Comes from the internet
- Day-ahead electricity prices
- Weather forecasts

The loop
Measure. Plan. Control. Measure again.
- 1
Measure
Consumption, solar, battery, grid and temperatures, read from the devices in your home.
- 2
Plan
Tomorrow’s prices and the weather forecast, set against what the home needs. One plan for all devices.
- 3
Control
Only devices you have enabled, and only within your limits. Every command is checked first.
- 4
Measure again
What actually happened, compared with a baseline. Only the proven difference counts.
The whole cycle runs on the unit in your home. Details of each step: an illustrated day
Safe control
Every command passes the same checks.
Kaelion is built to hold back rather than act blind. When something is not right, it stops — and shows you why.
- Enabled by youControl is switched on for this device.
- Trusted connectionThe link to the device is commissioned and trusted.
- Fresh dataReadings are recent enough to act on.
- Within your limitsThe command stays inside the limits you set.
- Not too oftenCommands are rate-limited.
All five checks pass. The command is sent, and its result is recorded so you can see what happened.
The battery reading is older than allowed. Kaelion does not act on old data; it waits for a fresh reading.
The plan would take the battery past a limit you set. The command is not sent.
Control is not switched on for this device, so Kaelion only measures it. This is the default.
Control can also run as a dry run: Kaelion shows what it would do, without doing it. The plan above is an illustration.
Where it stands
Designed for the whole home. Proven one part at a time.
Being part of the architecture is not the same as a verified saving. A part is shown as verified only after it has been measured against a baseline in a real home.
| Measured | Controlled | Saving verified | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Battery | yes | yes | yes | Active in the test home. The saving is measured against a baseline. |
| Heating | yes | not yet | not yet | Baseline being measured. Not controlled yet. |
| Hot water | yes | not yet | not yet | Baseline being measured. Not controlled yet. |
| EV charging | yes | not yet | not yet | Baseline being measured. Not controlled yet. |
| Solar | yes | not applicable | not applicable | Measured. Its value is reported separately, never as a Kaelion saving. |
| Grid | yes | not applicable | not applicable | Measured: power drawn and fed back. |
